"I COLLECT TORSOS!"- Sarah
Well, I just got back from Tower Records in New York where I saw an in-store performance from the man himself, Ben Folds. That enough would be sweet, but get this...I FUCKING MET HIM. That is right folks, I met the man himself and I must say he is absolutely awesome...such a nice guy. He signed my setlist to me by name, shook my hand twice and took a picture with me. The picture though was cool, because he got me behind his desk thing and took the pic with his arm around me. When I was getting ready to step aside, he said, "hey" and then stuck his hand out for me to shake it. I had shook his hand moments before, but he was nice enough to say it was nice meeting me and shake my hand again. This may be small stuff but come on, I am his biggest fan and it made all the difference in the world to me. Before I went up to sign though an asshole from Tower asked if he wanted to stop signing and Ben told him that he would stay there all night to make sure everyone got to meet him because it was the day his cd came out and the fans deserved it. That just seemed so damn cool to me, he is genuinely a cool person...all celebrities should be so generous and kind to their fans. He is a regular guy who just made people feel good about meeting him, he truly loves his fans. I'll admit, I was shaking after I met him but so absolutely happy. This may have been one of the best nights of my life and I was so happy to share it with the following awesome people: Mr.Jake Voytko, Ms. Erica Sibley and Ms. Sarah...don't know her last name. I hope thatyou guys had as much fun as I did and I hope it was worth dragging you into NY at 3 in the morning...thanks so much guys for putting up with the "Alpha Fan" and yes...I do indeed collect torsos.
I am on such a high right now...this is awesome.
