"and it's beggining to snow"
So it has begun to snow on the glorious grounds of TCNJ and I must say, I enjoy it. I got my hat and my jacket and walking to class seemed almost serene today when snow was involved. Of course, it was also pretty fricking cold...but I enjoy the cold. The cold gives you a feeling of being alive, the hot can't do that. When you are hot you get drowsy, when you are cold, you couldn't be more awake. That is why winter is my favorite time of year. Sure it is dark a lot, but you get the intense cold and all that snow that just makes one feel like they can truly feel again, it is quite refreshing. Ok, enough about cold shit...time to move on to other matters.
So I am back at good old TCNJ and let me just say, the eickhoff food still sucks. Yup, it seems that some things never change around here...including the less than diserable food. Have no fear though, for my bastion of hope T/W is still cranking out relatively good food. I think I will be spending a lot of time down there this semester. My classes also started on Monday and I think it will be a total mixed bag this semester. My journalism class seems a bit dry but still interesting and my intro to media class is looking like the winner this semester. Now, my gender and politics and spanish classes don't seem to be that great. I have always had a vendetta against spanish because out of 5 teachers, I have only gotten one who actually made me appreciate the language. Well, he is gone this semester and my new professor doesn't strike me as one who will make me appreciate spanish again. To be fair, I have only had one class but in that class he didn't make a really great first impression with me. I will do the work, I will try the best I can and I will try to avoid speaking in class...but I just want to survive it all to live on to spanish 3. My gender(women) and politics class is gonna be another winner. I know what they are getting at by calling it gender and politics but it is only about women and their political role. Are we now going to refer to all women courses as "gender" courses? Is TCNJ telling me that women are now the only gender? Not really, but I still find it amusing they would call the class a gender course when every textbook speaks exclusively about women. But I digress, back to the actual class. If it weren't at 2:30 I would fall asleep so very easily and hell, I might just fall asleep even at that time. This guy is the most boring professor on the face of the Earth. He makes Ben Stein look like a circus clown and gives new meaning to the word monotone. I thought the material was going to be boring, but I never thought he could make it this boring. Not only is he dull, he likes to make himself sound like a freaking genius. I am all for expanding your vocab, but when you use extremely complex words for absolutely no reason...it can get annoying. This semester is definately a mixed bag when it comes to classes and I kinda can't wait to be rid of the whole spanish and gender courses.
Aside from bitching about my classes I can say that my return to college has been a pretty good one. I missed some of the people here and no one seems like a completely huge asshole yet, so things are looking good. I just wanna get through this crap and get to the weekends...when I will be doing work. Ok, so you can't win them all. I have Laura coming up Friday and Ben Folds also coming up very soon plus Stephen Lynch is coming here on Tuesday, which is gonna be awesome.
I would tell you more about my personal stuff, but if you really wanna know...just IM me or call me. I am happy to talk to anyone plus it will save me the trouble of typing all my crap out. Ok, I'm out for now, everyone have a good one.
