I'm writing one great song
"Don't go away, say what you say"
I am extremely happy for my mom, because a team she has been cheering for for the past 20 years finally made it to the superbowl. The Eagles are going to Jacksonville to face the Patriots and my mom was downright giddy about it. She called me so incredibly enthused, I really hope they kick ass for her sake. I am a fan of football, but not a big one, but for this game I will be an Eagles fanatic. So, E-A-G-L-E-S, EAGLES!
Well, I figured out how I feel about my spanish class finally and here it is: I am on my toes the entire time, I am slightly scared but I think I can survive.
I can always count on one thing in life, music. No matter what happens, good or bad I can always fall back on music to relate. That is the key of music, it's ability to relate. Even if the lyrics are absolutely ridiculous, you can associate tone and feel with your own emotions. Plus, if the lyrics are insightful in understanding your mood, even the better. To make good lyrics one must draw from there own life, it is all about telling a story. Without conflict, music as life, is boring and emotionless. There has to be a struggle for something to truly have meaning, and it can be any sort of struggle not just the typical good vs. evil aspects or love conquers all bull that infiltrates music all the time now. It is more than that. It is struggle with the very idea of realizing who you are, an internal battle is one that can never be totally won or lost. People relate to basic emotion, not just the oft lyricized love aspect. Loss, pain, glory, agony, laughter and hell, even apathy can be sung or played in musical form. When you hear a genuine song, you can just tell...something clicks and you just lose yourself for a moment. Pure energy in music is something often attempted but rarely gained...but when it is, pure sonic bliss. I have lost my focus in this entry, but I think I have hit upon what I wanted. Music is a part of life in a different form, it is all about putting together the pieces of your life to create a whole.
I am a bit drained from class, so I think I will close this out. Have a good one all.
