Stephen A Douglas was a great debater, Abraham Lincoln was the great emancipator

"All things gone"
Hey people, welcome to 2006. I'm not one for New Year's resolutions and this year isn't any different. No resolution, I don't see the point. Hell, if you want to do something to better yourself you should have done it before a designated time and really, they just set up a goal you have which you will never reach. This year is always the year when things will change, when you will finally stick to your guns and follow through on your ultimate goal. Sorry folks, not going to happen. I find that for you to change your life something dramatic has to happen, something has to spur your change. Sure you can wake up one day and change your life but something has to lead up to it and everyone has their breaking point. Change just doesn't happen when you want it, change happens when you either don't realize it or are led up to change by a series of events. New Year's resolutions always confused me because you want the change to happen, but you have no reason to follow through on it. If you break it...oh well, no one cares and you are not decieving yourself. No, a resolution only happens when you hit rock bottom or you reach your highest peaks...change is a result of extremes. You want to change yourself? Wait until you hit an emotional peak, then you will really see what kind of change you want in yourself.
I am in Florida right now actually with my brother for the Orange Bowl, Penn State vs. Florida State. We are in a very sweet suite(yeah yeah, I am tired and it sounds good enough for me) in Fort Lauderdale after having a two and a half hour flight out of Newark. If you have ever taken a flight out of Newark you know that it takes at least an hour to actually take off once you are in the plane. For some reason, this one particular airport has a stigma of being absolutely awful in time management. It didn't help that I had a very large Jamacian woman next to me with her eating tray down THE WHOLE FUCKING TIME. Her elbows were roaming the inner workings of my ribs most of the flight but it was still a pretty smooth ride overall. I am still awed by the cloud cover once you reach your highest altitude, it is simply stunning. It literally looks like thousands of mountain peaks that are pure white stretching for miles in any direction. Zoning out with my iPod staring at the clouds took up most of my trip and it was a damn good way to spend my time. I was lost in my own thoughts in a different context than usual, I don't know how to describe it. It is kind of like the difference between losing sleep over your thoughts and going to sleep to them, you may think about the same things but you see them in a totally different light. I felt the knot in my back starting to loosen, even as my ribs were taking a beating. Even though I hate humid weather and Florida in general, this trip looks to be a pretty good one. With three Ranger games in two weeks on top of the trip, the rest of my break looks pretty damn good. Let's have this year be better than the last.

Way to go Brian, thats awsome! I'm having a real hard time trying to find info about spirits and then I found your site. Thank you sooo much! Even though Stephen A Douglas was a great debater, Abraham Lincoln was the great emancipator isn't exactly what I'm searching for, it definitely got my interest. It all makes sense now why I came across your site when I was looking for spirits related info. Keep up the good work. I'm always interested in reading more about spirits
