Just a little bit gone

Garfield has officially hit my job right on the head.

and now for something completely different:

Let me just lie here for a moment or two

to consider the blow

It hit with a force and it left no visible scar

yet I see it all the time

The late night thoughts that inhabit the mind

cannot be contained by conscience

To wish for an event to only glorify yourself

is inherently selfish and inherently human

The unheard ramblings of a busy soul

come without warning

and then drift down the stream

How many times have you lost a feeling

only to search for it in vain for years

it was a different time then

you were a different person then

We cling to the past with strangling force

but the more we hold on, the more it let's go

Let us not forget the good times we've had

but allow good times to come again

To dwell on the past is a foolish endevor

you will only find pain and regret

So let the thoughts come as they may

and let no scar engulf your life

live with your regret
